As our community grows, significant business opportunities will develop on the supply side of these sectors within our region. However we should not wait for this. Our topography, coastline and climate are well suited to both the production and processing of many agricultural and aquaculture outputs, from grains to tinned fish, from viticulture to poultry, from truffles to hops. The immediate objective is for a region-wide agri- and aquaculture plan based on the comparative analysis of the decades worth of high value research which has already been conducted on the available soils, water qualities, climate gradients, micro-climates etc. of our region. We must expand our agri- and aquaculture capacity to enable the doubling of production to feed the growing community, and to contribute to exports from the Corridor.
