The doubling of capacity of our current logistics infrastructure including fully-fledged operations, skilled and experienced staff, vehicles, and warehousing is the target.  This does not necessarily mean the doubling of physical capacity as smarter and more efficient management of our current logistics infrastructure could go part of the way – perhaps by as much as 20%.  Furthermore, a rail renewal programme should be launched, aimed at the revival of our significant railway infrastructure.  Why should the we not pioneer private sector driven rail logistics?
